What does Farm to Bag/ From the Farm really mean?
We took this idea from popular “farm to table” dining. The idea that food skips unnecessary touch points on the journey from the farm to your dinner table benefits flavor, nutrition and the environment. We source whole beans directly from American farms. Our black beans come from North Dakota, Michigan and Nebraska. Our white beans come from North Dakota or Nebraska and pinto beans from Colorado, Nebraska or North Dakota.
We cook our beans the low and slow way – just like grandma used to- and form them into a bean masa that we use to make our chips. The chips are baked then lightly fried and dusted with clean, flavourful seasoning blends. The chips in our bag are as close to the farm as chips can get.
What does Sustainable Crop really mean?
Sustainable crops are grown as part of an integrated system of farming where the crops help regenerate the soil for future cultivation. Beans can be considered a superfood for our soil as they lock nutrients into the soil as they grow.
In addition to providing us with a healthful carbohydrates, fiber, and minerals, beans are also a source of plant-based protein. Plant based protein is more sustainable than meat sourced protein because no methane is produced, less water is used per acre and more nutrients are produced per acre.
A note about non-GMO.
We believe that our food should come from as close to nature as possible, so we worked long and hard to be the first bean-based snack company to make our chips from whole beans instead of bean meal. Bonus points: All Beanitos beans currently grown in the US are non-GMO!
What is Tapioca Starch?
Tapioca Starch or Tapioca Flour comes from the Cassava plant native to South America. It is gluten free and an excellent flour alternative. It is a common ingredient in Paleo and Keto diets as well as in traditional Asian and Latin American cooking. When we moved to our new whole bean cooking process, which delivered 5 grams of protein and a good source of fiber, we discovered that adding a sprinkle of tapioca gave our chips the perfect crispy texture.
Are your products Vegan/ Vegetarian/GF/Paleo/Keto?
All of our products are suitable for vegetarians and are gluten free, corn free, nut free and egg free.The following chip flavors are suitable for vegans: Hint of Lime chips, Pinto Sea Salt chips, Restaurant style chips, Original OMG Sea Salt.
Does your product contain allergens?
All Beanitos are egg free, corn free, gluten free and nut free. There is no egg, wheat, tree nuts or peanuts manufactured in our facilities, and while corn is, we follow extensive sanitation practices to prevent any cross contamination.
Why being a smart snacker really is smarter?
Smart snackers know that they can eat Beanitos chips and feed their body with 5g of complete protein and 4g of fiber per serving, plus gain antioxidants from polyphenols. Protein is needed to build muscle and can help in weight management. Fiber is needed for good gut health and helps with feelings of fullness. Beanitos chips also have a low glycemic index, which may help your energy levels stay consistent throughout the day and prevent sudden changes in blood sugar which can lead to overeating.

We are always looking for ways to improve our products so that they are good for people and good for the planet and spread our all-round love of beans. We believe our new Beanitos chips are the best Beanitos ever. Better tasting and more nutritious.
The main ingredient in our chip recipe is fresh whole beans, which we now proudly source from American farmers. We use fresh whole beans to make the bean masa for our new chips and because of this our new chips now have 5 g of plant-based protein per serving.
